Activ

Activ is a filter driver that allows monitoring of the runtime activity on a computer where it is installed. It can monitor in real-time:

Version 1.2.0.0—11 June, 2008

· processes start/stop, reporting process name, ID and command line;

· loading of images (DLLs), reporting image name, process ID where this image is loaded into, image base address and size;

· Registry functions execution, reporting key and value names;

· File open/create, reporting process ID (PID) that opened or created a file, file name, desired access, share access, file attributes, options and status of the executed operation;

· File read, reporting PID that reads a file, file name, length of the read buffer in bytes and status of the executed operation;

· File write, reporting PID that writes to a file, file name, length of the write buffer in bytes and status of the executed operation;

· File rename, reporting PID that renames a file, old file name, new file name and status of the operation.

Activ supports Windows XP™ and Vista™ OS. All output messages are directed to the debugger output that can be viewed by such utility program as DebugView. Freeware.
